Investment Promotion Roadshows conducted in the following Countries:
Japan & South Korea (29th Sept to 7th Oct 2015)
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan visited Japan and South Korea from 29th September, 2015 to 7th October, 2015. He was accompanied by a high profile delegation that included the Minister of Industries, Senior Officials of Government of Madhya Pradesh and many prominent industrialists. The objective of the visit was to promote the state to the investor community of Japan & South Korea, market the proposed country and region specific Industrial Township in Pithampur (near Indore) and to invite dignitaries and investors to the upcoming Global Investors Summit 2016, at Indore. During the visit Business Seminar and one-to-one Business Meetings were held in Tokyo, Osaka (Japan) & Seoul (South Korea). MoC was signed with Japan External Trade Corporation (JETRO) & Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI), Japan and Small & Medium Business Corporation in Korea.
A delegation of many prominent industrialists from Japan also participated in the jointly organised GoMP & JETRO seminar held in Indore on 8th & 9th March 2016. Further, Japan & South Korea not only participated as Partner Counties in the Global Investors Summit 2016 but also conducted special Seminars in the Summit.
Singapore (13th to 15th Jan, 2016)
During the visit the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan met Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and discussed investment potential in his state's key sectors like renewable energy, urban planning, capacity building, food processing & Information Technology. Prime Minister Lee has expressed strong desire to work with Madhya Pradesh in these five sectors.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan became the 4th Indian to get Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship for contribution to national development and efforts to promote international goodwill.
In the Business seminar the delegation met delegation of International Enterprise and Singapore Business Federation. Chiefs of about 20 prestigious Singaporean companies were present on the occasion. It is noteworthy that Singapore Business Federation explores possibilities of investment in various countries and helps investors to complete necessary formalities. Post the interactive session Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) were signed for mutual collaboration in four major sectors, urban planning, skill development, clean energy and food processing. For Urban planning MoU was signed between Madhya Pradesh's Directorate of Town and Country Planning and Singapore Corporation Enterprises. For skill development MoU was signed between Madhya Pradesh's Technical Education and Skill Development Department and Singapore's ITE Education Services. For clean energy MoU was signed Renewal Energy & Food processing sectors.

China (19th to 23rd June 2016)
The HCM lead delegation met prominent companies from China to make an understanding with the companies and convince them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The visit was to elicit investment proposals, market proposed country specific Chinese Industrial Township in Pithampur (near Indore), also promote Vikram Udyogpuri (DMIC early bird project) near Ujjain, Plastic Park Tamot near Bhopal, Sitapur Industrial Area near Gwalior and upcoming major infrastructure projects. The Business Seminars for Industrial promotion followed by one-to-one meetings in Beijing & Guangzhou with various investors of China further enhanced investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh. The visit allowed showcasing the strengths and industrial progress of Madhya Pradesh and provided a global platform for interaction with Chinese industry leaders, heads of province, policy makers and other stakeholders.
United States of America (28th Aug to 1st Sept, 2016)
The objective of the delegation is to promote Madhya Pradesh as a lucrative investment destination for US businesses/ investor community and invite them for Global Investors Summit 2016 scheduled to be held on 22nd & 23rd October 2016. The Hon’ble Chief Minister will be accompanied by the Hon’ble Minister, Commerce, Industry and Employment (CI&E), Shri Rajendra Shukla and senior officials of the CI&E department. Additionally, a delegation of major business houses from Madhya Pradesh will also accompany the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
During the visit the State Government of Madhya Pradesh through Madhya Pradesh Trade & Investment Facilitation Corporation Limited (MP-TRIFAC) signed Memorandums of Understanding.
United Kingdom (25th to 28th Sept 2016)
The objective of the networking visit was to take forward the developing association with UK. The delegation met prominent companies from UK to make an understanding with the companies and convince them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The Business seminar for Industrial promotion followed by one-to-one meetings with various potential investors of UK further enhance the investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh. The delegation also visited and studied the smart city initiatives taken by UK.
This visit also provided an excellent platform to highlight the state’s achievement during the concluded “Ease of Doing Business” ranking, conducted jointly by World Bank and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India. As per the rankings, Madhya Pradesh has bagged 5th position out of 32 states in the country. Some of the key initiatives appreciated by World Bank & DIPP include single window clearance, construction permits, environment specific initiatives and support infrastructure initiatives.
Further, it was to ensure UK delegation to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit 2016. UK not only participated as Partner Country in the Global Investors Summit 2016 but also utilised the space allotted in Exhibition to showcase its goods & services during the Summit.
